Here are reviews of Ktag fw v7.020 clone.

I try with edc16c31 smart 451, read write in bdm ok with ktag, read write ok in obd with kess.
I tested with a lot of edc17 in these day and read and write without problem.
I made a video with a edc17c50 bmw 120d f21 with gpt, read and write ok.
I have a fiat edc17c69 virgin (without software inside), this I can't read.
My Ktag 7.020is able to read and write EDC17C69
7.020 version runs faster and more stable.
Ktag 7.02 good working. no problem.
Ktag master 7.020 displays diagrams via words, not pictures. It’s better to understand0
I tried to read Bosch edc17c69 gpt Fiat 500X and not working, with ktag ori read and write ok.
I read a lot of edc17 and few edc17 with gpt and all read and write ok maybe there is a bug in sw/fw from alientech.

I compared 7.020 with my old 7.003. KTAG fw 7.020 adds 100+ ECU types and supports new car models e.g. Toyota 76FXXX, PSA 17.4.4, Ford E83, VW 17.5.5 (1766), Mercedes-Benz 276 ECU, Toyota 76F, etc. It should be a good budget i think.

How to read Renault Megane Bosch EDC16CP33 BDM by KTAG clone?

This blog will show you step by step: How to read Renault Megane II Bosch ECU EDC16CP33 in BDM bench by KTAG ECU Programmer Master Clone? Check below details!

ECU to read: Renault Bosch EDC16CP33

You can see this ECU type installed in Renault, Nissan and Suzuki. EDC16CP33 and EDC16C36 are the same just if CP33 you can’t read the MPC.

Tool used: KTAG 2.11 FW 6.070 or you can try KTAG 2.13 FW 6.070.

BDM Frame used: KTAG FGTECH BDM Frame Bosch

K-TAG BDM read Renault Bosch EDC16CP33 ECU steps:

Connect K-TAG with EDC16CP33 ECU via KTAG BOSCH BDM Frame as below:

 

Open K-TAG 2.11 software and click the car icon.

Select car maker “Renault”, car model “Megane II” and ECU type “BOSCH EDC16C36” as below:

It’s recommended to do ECU backup before reading.

Then choose the first option “BOSCH EDC16+ NISSAN RENAULT (P29)” and click “OK”.

Click “Read” and KTAG starts to read EDC16CP33. (Not MPC, only flash and eeprom)

Now you just wait it complete 100% and save the bin file!

How read Peugeot Boxer ECU Visteon DCU-102 by KTAG clone?

 Here I will share my review on How to diagnose a Peugeot 407 by Launch X431 V PRO. It’s a Bluetooth/WIFI tablet scanner work with Android or IOS.

I use an adapter called DBSCar Bluetooth connector to connect the scanner with my car.

Turn car ignition on and open the app

Choose Peugeot under European section, I just use the search box on right upper corner.

And it shows the Peugeot software latest version V42.98. When I click the Confirm button it automatically connect Bluetooth OK.

It automatically read my car model and VIN. And it’s correct.

Take a close look at it!

There are three options available, Quick Test, System Scan and Select System. I choose Select System and go to check the engine ECU.

Choose to read the DTC fault code

Launch X431 PRO read out 4 error codes: U1118, P1693, U2001 and P1351. And it allows me to search DTC code details online.

When I want to erase those error codes, it asks me to enter my car mileage. Then all error codes clear OK.

Used this picture to read the password (with no boot wire attached---and 12v pos on k line).....the connected to boot pin with normal MPPS/FGTech resistor.

This is how you boot ECU without resistors. But you might want to try resistors

This MPPS V18 works! I'm using it to save KESS tokens. It can even write full flash to EDC16 OPEL and read Astra J 2011 with Denso 1.5mb!

Ford Fusion 1.4 TDCi Siemens Sid 804 R/W OBD CAN = OK

I tested MPPS V18 china on MJD6 and perfect!

VW Golf EDC15P EEPROM R/W and Flash R/W, worked perfectly! OBD while the ECU was installed in the car.

How KTAG EU clone read Bosch EDC17C10 Tricore PSA Peugeot 308?

This is a guide for using KTAG K-TAG ECU Programming Tool Master to read Bosch EDC17C10 PSA Peugeot 308 on bench. Below are operation steps for you!

Step1. Take out the EDC17C10 ECU unit and open it. (Remember to heat the ECU edge before open that will protect the circuit)

Step2. Connect the cable 14P600KT02 to the ECU connector according to the pin out diagram below:

Pin 2, 19—red color—+12V

Pin 4—black color—Ground

Pin 40—white color—CAN-H

Pin 52—green color—CAN-L

Soldered wire—gray with alligator clip—Boot

Step3. Before reading ECU, remember to make a backup copy. Open KTAG 2.13 Master clone software. Choose “Peugeot”—“308”—“Bosch EDC17C10 Tricore” as follows:

Select the plug-in P219.

Step4. Click “Read” to start read ECU.

Wait a while and ECU reading complete!

Save the bin file at proper location. Things done! KTAG K-TAG read Bosch EDC17C10 PSA Peugeot 308 Tricore successfully!

(Tutorial) KTAG K-TAG Master read VAG Audi ECU EDC17C46 on bench

Here is a tutorial for using KTAG K-TAG ECU Programming Tool Master to read VAG Audi A3 ECU EDC17C46 on bench. Steps are as follows:

Step1. Open Audi A3 ECU EDC17C46 unit: first heat the edge to soften glue inside then open it carefully not to damage the circuit board.

Step2. Open KATG K-TAG software. Connect the cable 14P600KT02 to ECU connector according to following pin out diagram:

Step3. Take a wire, cut the wire cover at the middle. Solder its two ends to the two pins (red) as follow:

Step4. Back to K-TAG software, choose plug-in “P199” and click “OK”.

Click “Read” and wait it 100% complete. And then save the bin file. Now KTAG ECU Programming Tool read VAG Audi A3 ECU EDC17C46 successfully!
