How to use Mercedes WIS/ASRA for electric wiring diagram

Mercedes WIS is very confusing. And share some successful experience when i use WIS/ASRA. Wish this helps.

Disclaimer:
I use WIS within SD connect c4 software SSD, not the free one loaded on the web. Maybe you could free download online, but occasionally, it might expire in some time, said a forum member.

This is free WIS torrent 2016.6 i found:

If I do this right the screen captures below should match my numbering system.
1- Starting from a clean desktop, click on WIS/ASRA. Login with user/pass. Click on the red WIS/ASRA icon in the middle.

2- Paste your VIN in the box to the right of WDB. Pasting WDBFA66E8NF036776 will not work, but pasting FA66E8NF036776 works as the prefix WDB is assumed. For some reason the WIS translates the number, but your actual VIN remains in the greyed out box immediately to the right.

3- Click on TABLE OF CONTENTS and scroll down to section PE "Wiring Diagrams" Click on the red PE0001Z0999ZZ in the far right column.

4- Click on the red text in the far right column next to Passenger Cars. I have now clue why your VIN would give you a menu for trucks, buses or unimogs. This is German logic.

5- You should have a clickable table of contents of all wiring diagrams for your vehicle starting with "Overall Vehicle" and ending with "Seats, bunks, restraint systems" Click on any red number in the right column for the system you seek. There are more sub-menus under this one, but keep on click'n until you find what you need.

There is a WIS user manual.pdf on my desktop that probably explains how to use the WIS, but remember to always run the software first then read the instructions last. Hope this helps. Good luck with WIS.
