How to enable VAS 5054A to support UDS protocol

There are different VAS 5054A scanners in the market, some support the UDS protocol, some not. Here is the instruction on how to modify 5054a board to support UDS protocol.

Why you need the UDS protocol?

Old cars come with UDS protocol. Only with UDS, you can perform diagnosis or coding on old cars.

How to check if your 5054a supports UDS?

- First, check UDS support from vas 5054a hardware

If OKI chip inside, it means UDS protocol is available.

- Second, check UDS support in ODIS Service

Connect 5054a scanner to an old car with UDS protocol

Run ODIS and recognizing....

Start diagnosis

Enter vehicle information

Go to Control module list

Here, you can see UDS protocol is supported by this VAS 5054A

How to enable 5054a to support UDS protocol?

Just solder an OKI chip M6366 on 5054a board
